In 2017 Lindsay was travelling around South East Asia and arrived to beautiful island in Cambodia, where she thought she'd relax for a few days, before moving on.

Little did she know that the universe had other plans.

After feeling a strong pull to extend her stay, she made an unexpected move and threw out her detailed itinerary. She got a job on the beach selling boat trips and quickly took to the island life.

Meanwhile, Max was enjoying a holiday in Thailand before returning back to the island, where he had already made his home for several years.

He quickly noticed the new member of the team at the boat trip company he had invested in, and the two began a flirtatious friendship.

Not long after, on Halloween, the pineapple-dressed Lindsay and kitty cat Max shared their first kiss.

And the rest is history.
